HL7 Domain Analysis Model: School Based Physical Fitness Testing (SB-PFT), Edition 1- US Realm
DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the School-Based Physical Fitness Domain Analysis Model (SB-PFT DAM) is to serve as a foundation for consensus building and standardization of questions/answers, data elements, processes, and information system interoperability specifications related to the testing, collection, dissemination, transfer, and storage of school physical fitness test results among key stakeholders, such as students, teachers, parents, school administrators, clinicians, and researchers. The information can be collected in a school setting and shared with permission to administrators, researchers, parents, and clinicians in EHR systems as supplemental information for healthcare and research purposes. The SB-PFT DAM will be used as a framework for subsequent clinical and research efforts related to establishing the core data elements as standard components of both research and clinical applications that focus on (1) activities that define physical fitness testing, (2) data collection methodologies, and/or (3) dissemination of physical fitness testing results to parents, schools, researchers and clinicians.
