PDex IG Observation: Prior Authorization Resource Naming Inconsistency (PSS-2765)

I wanted to share an observation regarding the Da Vinci Payer Data Exchange (PDex) Implementation Guide, specifically the Data Retrieval Methods section ([https://hl7.org/fhir/us/davinci-pdex/PayerToPayerExchange.html#data-retrieval-methods]).

The [PDex Prior Authorization Profile|https://hl7.org/fhir/us/davinci-pdex/StructureDefinition-pdex-priorauthorization.html] is correctly defined as being {}based on the [ExplanationOfBenefit|https://hl7.org/fhir/R4/explanationofbenefit.html] resource{}. However, in the corresponding table, the Resource column refers to the resource as “Prior Authorization.” Since [FHIR R4|https://hl7.org/fhir/R4/resourcelist.html] does not define a resource named “Prior Authorization,” this appears to be an inconsistency within the IG.

To avoid potential confusion for implementers, it may be more accurate and consistent to explicitly reference ExplanationOfBenefit as the applicable FHIR resource, rather than using “Prior Authorization” as a resource name.
